10 female seiyuu who I actually don't like (or who get on my nerves more times than not)
I've stopped watching or never started watching something because of these ladies...
10. Koshimizu Ami
I'll admit that I've grown to like her more over the years, but for a long time the only roles I enjoyed her in were School Rumble and Futakoi. Good roles: School Rumble (Tenma), Simoun (Paraietta), Spice and Wolf (Holo).
09. Kugimiya Rie
She is so good at non-tsundere and non-loli roles, yet that is all she is ever casted as. Let it be known that I've had gripes with her since Hand Maid May... All these kids who can't get enough Shana, Taiga, or Nagi clones probably never watched Rizelmine. Good roles: Mnemosyne (Mimi), Nabari no Ou (Miharu), Hidamari Sketch (Chika).
08. Hikasa Yoko
My newest bane. She can sing... I'll give her that, but I cannot bring myself to enjoy her voice acting, especially when she has a talkative character. I spend more time rolling my eyes. After a couple episodes of Seikon no Qwaser and Occult Academy, she went into the "Ugh" pile. Good roles: K-ON (Mio), Chuu-Bra (Kiyono).
07. Kobayashi Yumiko
Her performance in Love Hina will never leave me. Soul Eater became a challenge after awhile because of her (amongst other reasons). Heck, I could not watch Angel Beats without having painful Sarah MacDougall flashbacks. Good roles: Yakitate Japan (Kazuma), Soul Eater (Black Star).
06. Kaneda Tomoko
She should only be casted to play animals. She is the only person I have muted on my Bisei Tokei app on my phone for good reason. She is the voice everyone wants to hate, but she is okay some times. Good roles: Azumanga Daioh (Chiyo-chan), Binbo Shimai Monogatari (Asu), Sola (Mayuko).
05. Fukui Yukari
Someone get her a nasal strip and an inhaler. Why she gets as many lead roles as she does is beyond understanding. She is not that good. She was one of the few downfalls of Gurren Lagann. Her voice has always annoyed me. Good roles: Uhh... Top wo Nerae (Nono)?
04. Goto Saori
If Kaneda Tomoko is like scratching your nails on a chalkboard, then Goto Saori is like screaming children scratching their nails on said chalkboard. I thought she would be alright early on with Sky Girls, but it essentially ended there. He music gets tiresome after about two listens as well, so no dice there either. Good role: Sky Girls (Karen) because I'm in a giving mood.
03. Nabatame Hitomi
Ugh. I actually liked her a lot early in her career, but sometime between 2005 and 2006, my like became dislike. I hear her voice and it is an automatic "Ugh" from me. And she is still in practically everything. Good roles: Tsukihime (Arcueid), Shakugan no Shana (Margery), MariMite (Eriko).
02. Konno Hiromi
Want yet another reason I didn't enjoy Lucky Star as much as everyone else? Seriously, where's the talent? Some seiyuu kinda suck, but at least (1) look cute or (2) has some sort of singing ability. She has none of the above. And while I'm on Lucky Star and hated seiyuu, let's throw that bastard Shiraishi Minoru in there as well. Every time I see him I want to punch him in the face. He is probably my most despised seiyuu, male or female, of all time. Good role: Air (Potato).
01. Nogawa Sakura
I can tolerate her about 1% of the time when she has roles like in Seto no Hanayome. The rest of the time, I want to stick sharpened pencils into my ears. And there is more to my disdain than just her role in Da Capo. There was also, Lovedol, Pita Ten, Rozen Maiden, Mai HiME, KimiKiss, Final Approach, Magikano, etc etc etc? Her ONLY good role: Seto no Hanayome (Luna).
